Full description

Not every treat needs to be the richest thing in the cupboard, and daphnia sits at the lighter end of King British's dried treats - useful if you're feeding more than one kind and want to vary what a fish gets rather than maximise protein every time.

This is dried Daphnia - a natural crustacean - with nothing else added, and it's suitable across coldwater, tropical and marine fish rather than being tied to one type of setup. Protein sits at 36% and fat at 4%.

Dried Daphnia sp.
Protein 36%, fat 4%
Suitable for coldwater, tropical and marine fish
Complementary treat, not a complete food
Feed 2-3 times a week
18G tub

On how often to feed it. As with King British's other dried treats, this is meant to sit alongside a complete food rather than replace it - 2-3 times a week, sparingly, with anything uneaten removed rather than left to break down in the tank.

Who it's for: owners wanting a lighter treat suitable across coldwater, tropical and marine setups, rather than one tied to a single type of fish.

King British Daphnia Treats

Why we chose it

This is the one we'd suggest for a mixed or marine tank specifically, since it's stated as suitable across coldwater, tropical and marine fish rather than one type. It also runs lighter than some of King British's other dried treats, useful if you're feeding treats often and don't want to overdo a richer option every time.
