Full description

A treat is judged differently from a staple diet - it doesn't need to carry everything a fish needs, just be worth the fuss of feeding it occasionally, and a single dried ingredient with nothing added is about as simple as that gets.

This is dried bloodworm - the larvae of the Chironomus midge - and nothing else, fed sparingly rather than as a staple. It's notably higher in protein than a typical complete food, at 60%, with a comparatively low fat content of 6%.

Dried larvae of Chironomus sp. (bloodworm)
Protein 60%, fat 6%
Complementary treat, not a complete food
Feed 2-3 times a week
7G tub

On feeding frequency. King British are explicit that this is a complementary treat, to be fed alongside your fish's usual complete food rather than in place of it - 2-3 times a week, sparingly. It isn't formulated to cover everything a fish needs on its own.

Who it's for: owners of aquarium fish who want an occasional high-protein treat alongside a complete diet, rather than a staple food.

King British Bloodworm Treats

Why we chose it

Bloodworm is one of the few treats most fish will actually go for without any coaxing, and a dried single-ingredient version keeps things simple - no flavourings or fillers to check. The small 7G tub also matches how sparingly King British say to use it.
