Full description

Most bedding just sits in a cage until it's replaced. This one asks a bit more of the packaging it arrives in before that happens.

This is a Kapok two-in-one product: soft kapok bedding material inside packaging that folds, with a few quick folds, into a small critter bed once the bedding has been removed.

Soft kapok bedding material
Packaging folds into a critter bed after use
Made from recycled materials and vegetable-based inks
Described as 100% safe to chew

One thing worth knowing. there's no weight or dimension given for the finished bed shape once it's folded, so we can't tell you exactly how large the end result is - only that it's built from the bedding's own packaging.

Who it's for: owners of small pets who like the idea of the packaging itself becoming useful, rather than being thrown away once the bedding is out.

Why we chose it

Getting a bed out of packaging that would otherwise be binned is a genuinely nice piece of design, not just a claim on the box. Vegetable-based inks and recycled materials also make it a sensible choice for something a small animal might end up chewing.
