Specifications

Brand: Johnson's
Food type: Complementary_or_treat

Full description

Hanging a treat inside the cage rather than dropping it in a bowl changes how a bird engages with it, giving it something to work at from an angle rather than simply pecking at a flat dish.

This is Johnson's Nut & Honey Bell: selected seeds, nuts and cereals bound with honey and shaped into a 50G bell. Like the bar version in the same range, it's classed as a complementary treat rather than a complete food, meant as an occasional extra.

50G seed, nut and honey bell shape
Selected seeds, nuts, cereals and honey
Complementary treat, not a complete diet
For cockatiels, parrots and similar birds

One thing to flag. No protein, fat or fibre figure is given for this treat, so its nutritional makeup beyond the ingredient list isn't confirmed. As with any treat, it's meant to be occasional rather than a routine part of the diet.

Who it's for: owners of cockatiels, parrots and similar birds who want a hanging treat shape rather than a loose seed bowl.

Why we chose it

The bell shape means it can be hung rather than just dropped in a dish, which gives a caged bird a bit more to engage with than the flat bar version does. It's a small, low-cost way to add some variety to an otherwise repetitive feeding routine.
