Brand: Johnson's

Full description

A dog that goes to pieces during fireworks or a thunderstorm isn't overreacting on purpose — for a lot of dogs, that noise genuinely doesn't stop registering as a threat, no matter how many times it's happened before.

Johnson's Calming Spray is a natural, water-based formula built around lavender and valerian, described for use around the home during stressful moments such as thunderstorms, fireworks, vet visits or time spent apart. It's a 150ml spray.

150ml spray
Natural, water-based formula
Lavender and valerian
For use around the home during stressful situations
Aimed at nervous, hyperactive or territorial behaviour, per Johnson's

On what it's for. This is a calming aid for the home environment rather than a treatment for a diagnosed behavioural condition, and Johnson's don't give an ingredient concentration on this card. If stress, aggression or territorial behaviour is severe or frequent, that's worth discussing with a vet rather than relying on a spray alone.

Who it's for: owners whose dog or cat struggles with fireworks, thunderstorms, vet visits or time apart, wanting a natural spray for the home.

Johnson's Calming Spray

Why we chose it

Lavender and valerian together is a fairly classic natural calming pairing, which is why it's a sensible first thing to try before anything stronger. It's a small 150ml bottle, so it's an easy one to keep for firework season without committing to a big pack.
