Full description

Cats described as having sensitive digestion still need a food judged by its actual composition, not by a promise inferred from the recipe title.

IAMS Adult Cat Sensitive Digestion with Turkey is a complete dry food for cats aged one year and over. The recipe lists 36% dried chicken and turkey, including 22% chicken, together with 36% rice and 14% turkey meat. Pork fat, 1.8% dried beet pulp, chicken gravy, 0.67% fructooligosaccharides, fish oil and 0.15% mannan-oligosaccharides are also listed. The analysis states 34% protein, 15% fat, 1% crude fibre and 8.4% crude ash, with magnesium at 0.07% and taurine at 0.2%.

The recipe name is not a medical claim. "Sensitive Digestion" names this IAMS formula, but nothing here establishes that it treats a digestive condition. Turkey meat is 14%, while the dried chicken-and-turkey portion is 36% and includes 22% chicken. The recipe is wheat-free but made in a factory that handles wheat. Use the rough feeding guide, adjust for ideal body weight and keep water available.

Who it's for: owners of adult cats who want this sensitive-digestion recipe and would like the rice, turkey, chicken and analysis figures made clear before buying.

Iams Adult Cat Sensitive Digestion Turkey

Why we chose it

Its recipe is unusually specific about rice, turkey meat and the chicken share within the dried poultry. That detail supports a careful comparison without turning the product name into a health promise.
