Full description

Suet blocks work through a bird's day faster in cold weather than seed does, which is why a pack that mixes variants rather than sticking to one flavour tends to attract a wider range of species to the same feeder.

This 10-pack splits evenly between two variants: an insect block containing 0.4% insects alongside cereals, oils and fats including ruminant tallow, seeds and ground peanuts, and a fruity block built on the same base without the insect content. The insect variant carries an energy value of 505kcal per 100g.

Who it's for: anyone feeding a mixed group of garden birds through colder months, wanting variety across a single multipack rather than committing to one flavour of suet block.

Why we chose it

Splitting the pack between two variants rather than selling ten of the same block means more species end up visiting the same feeder. The insect content in one variant is a genuine point of difference from a plain suet block, since insects are a natural part of many garden birds' diets.
