Cutting a nail slightly too short happens to almost everyone who trims their own pet's claws eventually, and the bleeding that follows usually looks worse than it is - but it still needs stopping quickly rather than left to run its course. Trimmex exists for exactly that moment.

It's a styptic powder made to help stop bleeding when a nail or claw has been cut too far, applied directly to the affected nail. It's made in Great Britain, and comes in a 30G tub, small enough to keep in a grooming kit rather than a full first aid box.

On how it's applied. Hatchwells don't give an ingredient breakdown or exact application method on this card - follow the instructions on the tub itself, and if bleeding doesn't stop within a reasonable time after applying it, that's a reason to call a vet rather than keep reapplying.

Who it's for: anyone who trims their own dog's or cat's nails at home and wants something on hand for the occasional nail cut too close.
