Cats make up their minds about a food in the first couple of seconds and then hold that opinion with some determination, which is why changing one is a negotiation rather than a decision. It is also why what goes into a bag of everyday cat food matters more than it does for an animal that will eat anything put down.

Chicken is 50% of this recipe, and Harringtons break that figure down rather than leaving it as a headline: dried chicken at 37%, freshly prepared chicken at 7%, chicken fat at 4% and chicken gravy at 2%. Behind the chicken come rice, maize and beet pulp, with salmon oil at 1%, chicory root at 0.09% (of which inulin 0.05%) and yucca extract at 0.02%. Harringtons quote 80% animal protein for it, and formulate it as a complete food for all cats from 8 weeks onwards, with no added artificial colours or flavours.
