A smooth peanut butter nugget is harder for a small bird to get a grip on than one with texture built in, which is the reasoning behind grooving the surface rather than leaving it plain.

This is the berry-flavoured nugget in Happy Bird's Peanut Butter Nuggets range: peanut butter formed into nuggets with grooves designed for easier peck-ability, sold as a complementary treat for wild birds. Happy Bird say it attracts woodpeckers, blue tits and robins among others, and it can be fed from a suet nugget feeder, a suet ball feeder, or simply placed on a bird table.

what the makers haven't told us. There's no ingredient percentage or fat/protein figure supplied for this recipe beyond it being peanut butter based with a berry addition, so there's no way to compare it numerically to the plain Original Peanut nuggets in the same range.

Who it's for: anyone feeding a suet nugget or ball feeder who wants a berry variation on a standard peanut butter treat, alongside proper seed feeding.
