A terrarium needs to mimic more than heat - a reptile also reads daylight itself as a cue, for basking, activity and behaviour that a heat-only bulb doesn't provide.

This is a coloured glass bulb with a Neodymium sleeve, providing broad-spectrum daylight for the terrarium. It creates a basking area for thermoregulation, raises the ambient air temperature, and Hagen describe its UVA content as stimulating breeding behaviour.

• Coloured glass bulb with a Neodymium sleeve
• Provides both daytime heat and light for the terrarium
• Creates a basking area for thermoregulation
• Raises the ambient air temperature
• Described as stimulating breeding behaviour through its UVA content
• Pairs with a Night Heat Lamp for a full 24-hour cycle

On UV output. Exo Terra describe this as broad-spectrum daylight with UVA content, but there's no UVB figure or index given on the card, which is the wavelength most commonly discussed for reptile bone and calcium health - if your reptile's care sheet calls for a specific UVB output, check that separately rather than assuming this bulb covers it.

Who it's for: keepers who want a daytime basking bulb providing both heat and broad-spectrum light, run alongside a dedicated night-time heat source.
