A cat that has slowed down at seven or eight is not eating less because it needs less — it is often eating less because a bigger bowl of the same food is harder work than several small pouches through the day, which is the whole case for a 40-pouch box over a single tin.

This is a complete wet food for senior cats, sold as two recipes in gravy: one built around chicken, one around salmon. On the chicken recipe, the ingredient list runs "meat and animal derivatives (17%, of which chicken 6%)" before fish and fish derivatives and vegetable protein extracts — so the named flavour is the smallest labelled component of a 17% block, not the bulk of the pouch. The salmon recipe is built the same way, with salmon named at 4% inside its own 17% block.

• Complete food for senior cats
• Sold in gravy, 40 pouches per box
• Protein 13.0%, fat 2.5%, crude fibre 0.05%, crude ash 2.5%, moisture 80%
• Two recipes: chicken (named at 6% within a 17% meat block) and salmon (named at 4% within a 17% block)
• Feeding guide is written for an average 4kg senior cat

On the naming. "Chicken" and "salmon" describe the flavour, not the bulk of the pouch — in both recipes the named ingredient is a minority share of a wider "meat and animal derivatives" or "fish and fish derivatives" declaration, which the label itself sets out rather than hides.

Who it's for: owners of a senior cat (the maker's own guide is written around a 4kg cat) who prefer several small wet meals a day over one large one, and who don't mind the pouch showing the flavour name rather than the majority ingredient on the label.
