Frozen yoghurt for dogs sounds like something from the ice cream aisle, and the milk-and-yoghurt-culture base here is closer to that than to a fruit purée.

It's built from skimmed milk, fructooligosaccharides, lactase enzyme and yogurt cultures, with natural banana and honey flavouring making up 5.5% of the recipe rather than real banana or honey pieces. The lactase enzyme is included specifically to help break down the milk sugar in the base. Frozzys make a small range of these frozen pots, keeping the same skimmed-milk-and-yogurt-culture base across flavours and simply changing which flavouring is added at the 5.5% mark.

• Skimmed milk and yogurt culture base
• Lactase enzyme included
• Natural banana and honey flavouring, 5.5%
• Protein 3.3%, fat 0.1%, crude ash 0.7%, crude fibre 0.5%, moisture 86.4%, calcium 0.15%
• Vitamins added per 85g pot
• 85G pot, complementary, kept frozen

On the flavour. "Banana & Honey" here is a flavouring at 5.5% of the recipe, not real banana or honey — the base itself is skimmed milk, fructooligosaccharides, lactase enzyme and yogurt cultures.

Who it's for: owners looking for an occasional frozen treat, including dogs that don't always tolerate ordinary dairy well, given the added lactase enzyme.
