How to measure

Back length: measure along the spine from the base of the neck (collar area) to the base of the tail.
Chest: measure around the widest part of the ribcage, behind the front legs.
If the two measurements suggest different sizes, choose by back length and allow for the chest.

A dog's face is the part that gets dirtiest and the part that gets washed least, because it is also the part that objects hardest. Anything that turns a wash into thirty seconds of foam and a rinse — rather than a full bath the dog has to be persuaded into — is doing most of the work.

This is a foaming wash for the face, made with colloidal silver, and the ingredient list is short enough to read: aqua, potassium oleate, potassium cocoate, glycerine, potassium citrate, citric acid, silver and maltodextrin. It is free from parabens, PEGs and SLES, and it is made in the UK. The maker's directions are to dampen the face with warm water, work a small amount into the skin, and rinse it off with warm water again. Store it somewhere cool, dry and out of sunlight, and do not put it in the fridge.
