Vegetables in a cat's bowl are not there for the cat's benefit in the way they would be for a dog — cats are obligate carnivores — but a named vegetable at least tells you something specific is in the jelly rather than colouring alone.

The four recipes here each pair a meat with a named vegetable, except the last, which pairs two meats: beef with tomato (beef 4%), chicken and carrot (chicken 8%), duck and spinach (duck 4%), and lamb and game (lamb 4%, game 1%). The vegetable content is stated precisely for three of the four — tomato 0.9% dehydrated (11% once rehydrated in the jelly), carrot 0.7% dehydrated (8.5% rehydrated), spinach 0.3% dehydrated (4% rehydrated) — served as a complete wet meal for adult cats.

• 12 pouches per box, 85g each
• Four recipes: beef & tomato, chicken & carrot, duck & spinach, lamb & game
• Complete wet food for adult cats
• Moisture 82%, protein 11.5%, fat content 2.5%
• Named meat is 4% of each recipe, except chicken at 8%

One thing worth knowing. The vegetable percentages describe dehydrated content before rehydration in the jelly; FELIX give the rehydrated equivalents too (11%, 8.5% and 4%), but no rehydrated figure is stated for the lamb and game recipe, which does not carry a named vegetable at all. Vegetables here are a small flavour addition, not a meaningful source of nutrition for an obligate carnivore.

Who it's for: an owner who likes to see a named vegetable on the label, and a cat that has already worked through FELIX's plainer meat-only multipacks.
