Full description

Meat-only ranges exist because plenty of cats simply prefer it to fish, and a senior cat with settled preferences is not the moment to start experimenting — this box keeps to four familiar meats rather than introducing anything new.

The recipes — beef, chicken, lamb and turkey — each have a chunkier bite than FELIX's everyday jelly range, with chunky pieces making up 44% of the pouch. The named meat sits at 4% of each recipe, served in jelly and portioned for cats aged 7 and over.

12 pouches per box, 85g each
Four recipes: beef, chicken, lamb, turkey, all in jelly
Chunky pieces make up 44% of each pouch
For senior cats aged 7 and over
Moisture 80%, protein 12%, fat content 3%

On the naming. The named meat is 4% of each recipe; the rest of the "meat and animal derivatives" that make up the chunk and jelly is not identified by species on the card supplied to us. A chunkier bite is a texture choice, not evidence of more of the named meat.

Who it's for: an older cat with an established preference for meat over fish, and an owner who wants a chunkier senior option across four familiar flavours.

Why we chose it

Older cats are often the least willing to try something new. A meat-only senior range with four established flavours is a safer bet to stock than a mixed box that might include a fish pouch nobody in the household wants.
