A cricket or hatchling that falls into an open water dish rarely finds its own way back out, which is the actual reason this dish has built-in steps rather than smooth, sloped sides like a plain bowl.

Exo Terra mould it from food-grade resin with a non-porous, smooth interior coated to resist the build-up of harmful bacteria, and the base is stable enough to resist tipping if a larger reptile climbs onto the rim. The neutral colour is deliberate, chosen to sit unobtrusively in a desert, tropical or any other style of terrarium.

One thing worth knowing. This range comes in several sizes and the dimensions we hold are for the Large; Exo Terra don't publish a shared set of measurements across every size on the information supplied, so check the option you're selecting at checkout rather than assuming it matches the figures here.

Who it's for: reptile, amphibian and invertebrate keepers who want a water dish that small tank mates like crickets can climb back out of, in a colour that won't dominate the terrarium.
