A reptile basking under glass doesn't get the UV wavelengths that would reach it outdoors, and a tank that looks bright to us can still be running a UVB debt that only shows up months later as soft bone.

This is Exo Terra's UVB300 T5 bulb, rated 24W, producing UVA and UVB together through what Exo Terra call a phosphor blend designed to replicate solar UVB. It's 22 inches long and recommended for use with the T5 Terrarium Top fitting specifically.
