Full description

An arboreal reptile or amphibian needs vertical space to climb, not just floor area, which is a need a flat substrate can't meet no matter how well chosen it is.

Exo Terra's Forest Branch is sandblasted grape vine, non-toxic and waterproof, bendable and twistable enough to be shaped into the terrarium rather than simply propped in as-is. It's ready to use straight away, and it's specifically noted as providing exercise opportunities for climbing species such as chameleons.

What the label does not say. No length or diameter figures are given for the Small size on the information supplied, so there's no way to judge exact dimensions before it arrives — worth bearing in mind if you're fitting it to a specific terrarium.

Who it's for: keepers of arboreal reptiles and amphibians, chameleons included, who want a natural branch for climbing rather than a moulded plastic one.

Exo Terra Forest Branch

Why we chose it

It's a genuine branch rather than a plastic imitation, and being bendable means it can actually be shaped to the terrarium rather than just propped against the glass. Chameleons specifically need the exercise this kind of climbing structure gives them, which is the reason it's worth the extra over a static perch.
