Specifications

Brand: Classic

Full description

A cave in a tank gives fish somewhere to retreat to, and a painted one gives the tank some colour on the days nothing else in it is moving much.

This is a hand-made, hand-painted polyresin cave ornament from Classic Pet Products, using non-toxic, fluorescent paints, roughly 125mm long by 75mm wide by 95mm tall.

Polyresin, hand made and hand painted
Non-toxic paints, fluorescent finish
Approx. 125mm (L) x 75mm (W) x 95mm (H)
Cave design, part of a wider fairy-tale ornament range

On the size. Classic give these dimensions as approximate on their own figures, so treat 125 x 75 x 95mm as a guide to scale rather than an exact fit for tight tank layouts.

Who it's for: aquarium owners wanting a lower, cave-shaped hiding feature rather than a tall ornament, particularly for a younger aquarist's tank.

Why we chose it

A lower cave shape works in tanks where a tall ornament like the castle in the same range wouldn't fit under the light hood, which is the practical reason to stock both shapes rather than one. Fluorescent colour also gives fish somewhere visually obvious to retreat to.
