Specifications

Brand: Classic

Full description

Fish don't need scenery, but the person looking at the tank every day does, and a painted ornament is a cheaper way to add colour than rescaping the whole thing.

This is a hand-made, hand-painted polyresin castle ornament from Classic Pet Products, using non-toxic, fluorescent paints, roughly 105mm long by 80mm wide by 175mm tall.

Castle design, part of a wider fairy-tale ornament range

On the size. Classic give the dimensions as approximate — "appx" on their own figures — so treat 105 x 80 x 175mm as a guide to scale rather than an exact fit if you're planning tank layout precisely around it.

Who it's for: aquarium owners, especially those setting up a tank for a younger aquarist, wanting a bright decorative feature rather than plain rockwork.

Why we chose it

Fluorescent ornaments are one of the easiest ways to make a community tank look deliberately decorated rather than empty, and this one is small enough to suit most standard tanks without crowding them. It's part of a wider range too, so it's simple to add a second piece later without it clashing.
