Why we chose it
A twin stand is the cheap way to fix two things at once - the water getting forgotten, and both bowls migrating across the floor. Stainless steel is the only material I will stock for a food bowl, because it does not hold a smell and it goes in the dishwasher without complaint. The frame is enamelled wire rather than a plastic moulding, which is most of why it costs what it does.

Full description
The bowl that causes trouble in most houses is the water one. The food bowl has a routine attached to it - a time, a scoop, somebody standing over it - while the water bowl has none at all, which is why it is the one sitting half empty at four in the afternoon with a leaf in it.
A twin stand puts the two side by side in one object, so filling one is a standing prompt to look at the other. The dishes are stainless steel, which does not absorb food odour and can be washed by hand or put in the dishwasher, and each one holds 1.9 litres. They sit in a sturdy black enamelled wire frame that lifts them off the floor, and each dish has a bevelled lip which Classic say is what helps stop them being tipped out. Overall the stand measures L 450 x W 225 x H 95 mm.
