Food for a mature cat is easier to judge when the small named ingredients are shown as percentages. Here, turkey, cranberry and glucosamine all have declared shares, and those figures are more revealing than the flavour title alone.

Burgess Mature Cat with Turkey & Cranberry is a complete dry food in a 1.4KG bag. Poultry meal makes up 26%, including turkey at 4%. The recipe lists dried cranberry at 0.06%, glucosamine at 0.03% and short chain fructo-oligosaccharides at 0.3%, along with maize, rice, wheat, poultry fat, fish meal and egg powder. Crude protein is 31%, crude fat 11%, crude fibre 1.5% and crude ash 7.5%; predicted energy is 385.2 kcal/100g.
