This powder is Sodium Carbomer — the only ingredient listed — applied either with a cotton applicator to the cut nail or superficial cut, or by dipping the nail straight into the tub, then holding moderate pressure for around 10 to 15 seconds until the bleeding stops. Where the job goes beyond this. Bugalugs are explicit that this is for external, superficial use only — not deep wounds or body cavities — and their own instruction is to contact a vet if there's no improvement. A cut bleeding for longer than the powder can manage is past what a styptic powder is for.
