Full description

Fish oil is one of the few supplements where the evidence and the marketing broadly agree, which doesn't mean every bottle on the shelf delivers the same amount of what actually matters.

This is 100% cod liver oil, preserved with natural antioxidants rather than anything synthetic. Total omega-3 comes to 22.5%, of which 11% is EPA and 6.1% is DHA — it's sold as a complementary supplement, not a complete food, in a 250ML bottle.

250ML bottle

What's not on this card. There's no stated dosage per animal size or age restriction supplied for this product — a fish oil supplement is normally given in drops or measured amounts relative to bodyweight, so check the bottle itself or ask a vet for how much to use rather than guessing from the omega-3 percentage alone.

Who it's for: owners already giving a dog or cat a fish oil supplement for coat or joint support, wanting a straight cod liver oil with a stated omega-3 breakdown rather than a blended product.

Why we chose it

The omega-3 split into EPA and DHA is actually printed here, which a lot of own-label fish oils don't bother with. 250ML is also a sensible bottle size to try before committing to a bigger one.
