Bucktons Mix Suet Cakes

One suet cake a day gets repetitive fast for a garden that hosts more than a couple of regular visitors, which is the case for Bucktons' mixed 20-pack over a single-flavour box. It spans three flavours — peanut, mealworm and berry — so different birds in the garden can gravitate to whichever they prefer rather than all competing over the same cake.

The berry cake in the range is built from ground wheat, beef tallow and calcium carbonate, with yellow millet, black rapeseed, kibbled maize, linseed, naked oats and berries at 1%, finished with a colourant additive. Mealworm is flagged as a protein source across the range, consistent with the mealworm-flavour cake.

On the berry content. As with Bucktons' other berry-flavoured suet products, real berries make up only 1% of the berry cake's composition — the tallow-and-cereal base does the nutritional work, and the berry flavour is a minor addition rather than the main ingredient.
