Specifications

Brand: Brambles
Food type: Complementary_or_treat
Dimensions: 4.8cm x 13.5cm

Full description

Swans and ducks feed from the surface, so a food that sinks is wasted the moment it hits the water — which is the whole reason a floating pellet exists rather than an ordinary one.

Brambles' Floating Swan & Duck Food is a complementary food formulated to give a balance of nutrients, vitamins and minerals, made in Great Britain, in pellets roughly 13.5mm wide and 4.8mm deep, sold in a 400G bag.

400G bag
Pellets approximately 13.5mm wide, 4.8mm deep
Floats, so it stays available at the surface
Also suitable for geese, moorhens and coots
Made in Great Britain
Described as a complementary food

On the composition. Brambles don't give us a composition list for this food, only that it's formulated for a nutrient, vitamin and mineral balance — we can't say what it's actually made from beyond that.

Who it's for: anyone feeding swans, ducks, geese, moorhens or coots on a pond or river who wants a food built to float rather than sink and be wasted.

Why we chose it

Floating is the entire point of this one, and the size figures Brambles give for the pellet are a specific, checkable fact rather than a vague description. Being made in Great Britain was a reasonable tie-breaker over an imported equivalent.
