A cat that turns its nose up at a thick pate will often still eat a fillet in a clear broth, and the two are different enough in texture and presentation that it's worth having both in the cupboard rather than assuming one format suits every cat.

Tuna fillet makes up 70% of the recipe, with fish broth and crab (5%) alongside a small amount of rice. Applaws' claim is a short, additive-free ingredient list — nothing beyond what's stated on the composition — and the pouches are suitable for cats over 3 months.

• Tuna fillet 70%, crab 5%, in fish broth
• Protein 15%, fat 0.01%, crude ash 3%, crude fibre 1%, moisture 80%
• No additives beyond the stated composition
• Suitable for cats of all breeds and sizes over 3 months
• 12 x 70G pouches

One thing worth knowing. This card records the food form as "dry" for what is clearly a wet pouch product at 80% moisture — that looks like a labelling slip rather than anything about the actual product, which is a wet fillet-in-broth food like the rest of the Applaws range.

Who it's for: owners of a cat that prefers a lighter, broth-based texture over a thick pate or jelly, and anyone wanting a genuinely short ingredient list.
