Most cats never learn to drink enough on their own, and a bowl of dry kibble sitting next to a water bowl does very little to change that. Adding something wet to the bowl is one of the few practical ways an owner can get more moisture into a cat that would otherwise get almost none of it from its food.

This is a complementary food, not a complete one, so it is built to go alongside a dry diet rather than replace it. The composition is short: Chicken Breast 75%, Chicken Broth, Rice. Moisture comes to 80%, and Applaws describe it as containing no additives, with 100% natural ingredients.

• 36 x 70G cans in the box
• Composition: Chicken Breast 75%, Chicken Broth, Rice
• Protein 16%, Fat 1%, Fibre 0.1%, Ash 1%, Moisture 80%
• 828 kcal/kg, 58 kcal per can
• No additives
• Suitable for all adult and mature cat breeds

On the word 'complementary'. This is not formulated to be the whole diet on its own — Applaws' own guidance is to feed it with dry food to make a complete and balanced meal. If you are looking for a wet food that can stand alone, this is not it; the balancing act is happening in whatever dry food you pair it with, not here.

Who it's for: owners already feeding a dry diet who want to add moisture and flavour without switching foods, especially in a multi-cat household working through a big box of small cans.
