Cat food subscription
We don't currently run an automatic subscription service — repeat delivery is something we're building toward, and you can register your interest on a food product page to hear when it opens. In the meantime, ordering when you're running low works exactly like any other order, and the same value questions apply whether or not a subscription is doing the ordering for you.
Where we actually are with subscriptions
A repeat delivery option is planned rather than live today. On product pages where it applies, you can choose a delivery frequency and leave your email to be told when that option actually opens — nothing is charged and nothing is set up automatically by doing that.
Until then, ordering the normal way when you notice you're running low works fine, and there's no penalty in price or availability for not being on an automatic schedule. We'd rather say plainly where we are than describe a service that doesn't exist yet.
How to judge value on any cat food, subscription or not
The number that actually tells you whether a food is good value is price per kilogram (or per pouch, for wet food), not the headline price on the bag or tray. A bigger bag is often, but not always, cheaper per kilo than a small one, so it's worth checking rather than assuming.
For wet food, price per pouch only tells you so much if the pouches are different sizes between brands — working out price per 100g is a fairer way to compare a 70g pouch against an 85g one. We won't claim any single option is the cheapest on the market, since that changes constantly and varies by what you're comparing it to.
What actually changes with a subscription, when one exists
A genuine subscription typically offers convenience — not having to remember to reorder — and sometimes a modest price benefit for committing to a regular delivery. Neither of those changes what the food itself is or does; they're about the buying experience, not the product.
When we do introduce repeat delivery, the plan is for it to sit alongside the normal way of ordering rather than replace it, so choosing not to subscribe won't mean paying more for the same food.
