Puppy food subscription: what we actually offer

We don't currently run a formal puppy food subscription. On individual food product pages you can choose a repeat-delivery interval and register your interest for when that opens, but today every order is placed as a one-off purchase, and we'd rather say that plainly than imply something that isn't there yet.

What's actually available today

Every puppy food order placed with us right now is a single, one-off purchase — there is no recurring charge or automatic reorder running behind the scenes. Where a product page offers a repeat-delivery interval option, selecting it registers your interest for when that becomes available rather than setting anything up immediately.

We'd rather be upfront about that than let the wording on a page suggest something is running when it isn't. If and when a genuine subscription opens, it will say so clearly rather than something you have to work out for yourself.

Keeping a growing puppy reliably supplied

The real question behind wanting a subscription is usually not running out, and there are simple habits that solve most of that without needing one. Reordering when you open the last third of a bag, rather than waiting until it's empty, gives you enough buffer for a normal delivery time without any risk of your puppy going without.

A calendar reminder set for roughly when you expect to run low works well for this, particularly while you are still getting a feel for how long a bag lasts your specific puppy — that changes as they grow, so the gap between orders will shorten over the first several months.

Buying the right size as they grow

A very large bag bought early on can go stale before a small puppy works through it, so it is often better to buy a size that suits their current appetite and reorder more often in the early months rather than trying to buy far ahead. As they grow into a bigger appetite, a larger bag starts to make more sense.

Try to avoid switching brands or recipes too often just to chase convenience, since a puppy's digestion generally does better on a consistent food, with any necessary change made gradually rather than as a reaction to running low unexpectedly.

Common questions

Can I set up automatic puppy food deliveries?
Not yet — we don't currently run a subscription service. Some product pages let you register interest in future repeat deliveries, but every order today is placed individually as a one-off purchase.
How do I make sure I don't run out of puppy food?
Reorder when you open the last third of a bag rather than waiting until it's empty, and set a calendar reminder based on how long a bag typically lasts your puppy. This buffer covers a normal delivery time without your puppy going without.
Should I buy a big bag to avoid reordering often?
Only if your puppy will get through it before it goes stale, since food does not stay at its best indefinitely once opened. For a young or small puppy, a smaller bag reordered more often is often more practical than one very large one.
Will Giddy Pets offer a puppy food subscription in future?
It's something we're genuinely looking at, which is why some product pages let you register interest in a repeat-delivery option. Nothing is running yet, and we'd rather be honest about that than suggest otherwise.
