Pet coats and jumpers are sized mainly by back length, with chest girth as a second check. Back length matters most for coverage.

How to measure

Back length: measure along the spine from the base of the neck (collar area) to the base of the tail.
Chest: measure around the widest part of the ribcage, behind the front legs.
If the two measurements suggest different sizes, choose by back length and allow for the chest.

Hairless cats are not simply cats without fur. They burn through calories keeping warm, seek out radiators and laps all day, and get genuinely uncomfortable in an ordinary British house in February. A fleece layer is not dressing up for them. It is the difference between a cat who settles on the sofa and one who spends the whole evening trying to burrow under a blanket.

This is a plain fleece turtleneck cut to a cat's shape, which is a narrower and longer body than any dog garment allows for. The high neck covers the throat and upper chest, the two places a hairless cat loses heat from first. The body sits close, so it does not bunch when they curl up or bag when they stretch, and it pulls on over the head with no buttons or fastenings to catch on a claw.
