A pan is half of a nest
Supa design these to be used with a nest felt lining, and an unlined pan is a hard plastic bowl rather than somewhere a bird will settle — the bobbles in the base exist to grip a lining, not to replace one. Budget for felts alongside these. The screw for the backing board is not included either. And the general point about breeding: clean pans between clutches, because parasites and disease pass on through reused nesting material more readily than most keepers expect.
Why we chose it
Ten in a pack is the realistic quantity for a breeding season rather than a single spare. The bobbles in the base are the detail that stops a lining creeping and a clutch ending up on bare plastic.

Full description
Breeding season arrives all at once, and ten nest pans is the quantity that reflects how it actually goes — birds nest at the same time, pans need swapping out and cleaning between clutches, and running short in April is a nuisance you only make once.
These are moulded from white polypropylene, which keeps them rigid and easy to clean, and they can be reused season after season. The external diameter is 12cm, internal 10.5cm, and internal depth 5cm. They attach to a cage with the white hooks on the back, or via a screw hole for fixing to a backing board — the screw is not supplied. There are holes moulded in for air circulation, and small raised bobbles in the base designed to stop the nesting material shifting about.

Who it's for: canary and finch breeders setting up for the season, and anyone who needs several pans rather than one.
