Full description

A swab that's already wet saves the fumble of soaking cotton wool in a separate ear cleaner bottle, which matters when the actual job — holding an ear still on a wriggling animal — already takes both hands.

This is a pack of 50 liquid-filled ear swabs. The makers have not supplied an ingredient list or a usage frequency for this product, so beyond the pack size and the pre-filled format there is nothing further confirmed.

What the label does not say. No ingredients and no recommended frequency of use have been supplied for this product. A red, hot, smelly or painful ear — or one your dog or cat is shaking their head at — needs a vet, not a swab; cleaning an already-irritated ear can make things worse.

Who it's for: owners of a dog or cat with ears that need regular attention, wanting a pre-filled swab over a bottle-and-cotton-wool routine.

Common questions

How many swabs are in a pack?

50.

Are they pre-filled?

Yes, they come ready-filled with liquid rather than needing a separate cleaner applied.

How often should I use them?

The makers have not supplied a recommended frequency for this product.

Will this treat an ear infection?

No — it's a cleaning swab, not a treatment. A red, sore, smelly ear or persistent head shaking needs a vet.

Why we chose it

Pre-filled swabs are just less fiddly than a bottle you have to apply to cotton wool yourself, which matters when you're doing this one-handed with the other hand holding a head still. 50 to a pack means it's a routine supply rather than something you're rationing.
