A cat will not willingly walk into a box it cannot see out of, and an owner wants the smell kept inside one. A semi-translucent door is the compromise between those two positions, and it is the reason to look at this tray rather than an opaque-flap one.

The box comes as a top and a bottom that click together, with an extra deep tray underneath and a charcoal filter in the lid to cut odour. Moderna have taken the corners out of it entirely - every edge is rounded, which is what they mean by nothing sticking - and there is an integrated handle so the whole thing can be picked up and moved rather than dragged. It is made from BPA-free, non-toxic plastic with more than 98% recycled content, and this one is 54CM.

On the measurements. 54CM is the only dimension published to us. There is no width, no height and no door aperture, which is the figure that actually matters if you are fitting the tray into an alcove or if you have a large cat that has to duck to get in. Moderna say the range comes in several sizes, so check which one you are ordering rather than assuming. The charcoal filter is a consumable and no replacement pack and no replacement interval has been supplied - once it has stopped doing anything, the hood is only a hood.
