The rim clips down over a liner bag so the bag is held at the edges instead of being dragged into a corner by the first cat to use it, and it lifts straight off for washing. The pattern — a monstera leaf — is applied by In Mould Labelling, meaning the design goes into the plastic during moulding rather than being printed on top, which is why Moderna can describe it as scratch and UV proof rather than something that scrubs off.
