Some cats won't use a litter tray unless it screens off the rest of the room, which is the whole case for a hooded design in the first place — it's privacy for the cat as much as odour control for everyone else.

This one is built to sit in a corner rather than against a flat wall, which claws back a bit of floor space in a small bathroom or utility room. The hood has a flip-door system, so the top lifts for quick daily cleaning instead of the whole unit needing to come apart, and it's secured shut day to day with two clip-locks. A translucent door gives the cat some privacy without blocking it completely, a scoop is included, and there's a built-in handle for carrying it.

• Corner-fit shape to save floor space
• Flip-door hood for quick daily cleaning
• Secured with two clip-locks
• Translucent door for privacy
• Includes a scoop
• Dimensions: L 56.3 x W 44.4 x H 36.4 cm

One thing worth knowing. Moderna don't publish a maximum cat size or a litter capacity for this tray, only the outer dimensions above — if you have a large cat, it's worth checking those numbers against them before ordering rather than assuming "hooded" means "roomy."

Who it's for: owners short on bathroom or utility floor space whose cat already tolerates a hooded tray, and who'd rather flip a lid open for daily cleaning than lift the whole unit apart.
