Specifications

Care: Easy to clean with warm soapy water
Brand: Moderna

Full description

A litter tray gets used by the cat and cleaned by the owner, and the two rarely want the same thing from it — the cat wants privacy and an easy step in, the owner wants the mess contained and the scoop not going missing under the sofa.

The Casetta is a hooded box built around a removable inner tray, so the part that actually holds the litter lifts out for cleaning rather than the whole unit needing to be tipped and scrubbed. Moderna add a lid that lifts for scooping and refilling, a low entrance, and a built-in spot to keep the scoop rather than balancing it on top of the hood.

Hooded design with a removable inner tray for easier cleaning
Lid lifts for scooping and refilling without removing the hood
Low entrance for easier access
Built-in storage for the scoop
Anti-slip pick-up sides and a stable base
Cleaned with warm soapy water

What Moderna don't give us. There is no external size, litre capacity or weight stated for this box, so if space in a cupboard or a small bathroom is tight, a tape measure on the space itself is more use than anything on this page.

Who it's for: owners who want a hooded tray with somewhere built in to keep the scoop, and cats used to a covered box with a low, easy step-in entrance.

Common questions

Does a scoop come with it?

Moderna describe a built-in storage spot for a scoop, but don't state that a scoop is included — treat it as somewhere to keep your own.

How do I clean it?

With warm soapy water, according to Moderna.

Do I need to tip the whole box out to clean it?

No. The inner tray lifts out and the lid opens for scooping, so the whole unit is not what needs scrubbing each time.

What size is it?

Moderna don't give external dimensions or a litre capacity for this listing, so we can't state a size here.

How long does delivery take?

Your estimated delivery date is shown above and updates automatically. UK orders are sent tracked — standard delivery is £2.99, and free on orders over £39.

How do I track my order?

As soon as your order is dispatched we email you a tracking link, so you can follow it all the way to your door.

What if I need to return my order?

You have 30 days from delivery to change your mind. Just email us with your order number and we’ll send the return steps the same working day — see our delivery & returns page for details.

Moderna Casetta Camelia White Litter Box

Why we chose it

A tray that stores its own scoop is a small thing that saves a genuine daily annoyance, and it's the detail that decided this one over a plainer hooded box. The removable inner tray also means the whole unit is not what gets scrubbed out each time, just the part that needs it.
