Specifications

Brand: Johnson's

Full description

A kitten's first wormer is usually bought in a hurry, at the same time as the first bed and the first bag of food, and a simple one-dose option is one less thing to research at that point.

Johnson's One Dose Wormer for cats is built to kill roundworm and tapeworm in a single dose, for kittens over 6 weeks of age. The pack holds 2 tablets, so there's a second dose ready for the next worming round rather than only enough for one.

2 tablets per pack
Kills roundworm and tapeworm in one dose
For kittens from 6 weeks of age
One-dose format, not a multi-day course

On dosing. Johnson's don't give a tablet-per-kg breakdown on this card, so how the 2 tablets divide across a worming schedule — one now, one at the next round, or both together for a larger cat — should come from the leaflet in the pack or your vet, not a guess.

Who it's for: owners of a kitten starting a routine worming schedule, wanting a simple one-dose tablet rather than a spot-on.

Johnson's One Dose Wormer Cat

Why we chose it

Two tablets in the pack means there's a dose ready for the next worming round without a second trip to buy one, which is a genuinely practical reason to pick this over a single-tablet pack. It's aimed specifically at kittens from 6 weeks, so it's the right starting point rather than an adult product used early.
