Specifications

Brand: Johnson's

Full description

A cat that picks up fleas rarely picks up just fleas — ticks and lice can travel the same routes, particularly for a cat that spends time outdoors, which is why a triple-action product covers more ground than a flea-only one.

This spot-on pipette is described by Johnson's as veterinary strength and triple action, killing fleas, ticks and lice on contact while also preventing the development of flea eggs and larvae — breaking the flea life cycle rather than only dealing with adult fleas already on the cat. It's for cats over 1kg, supplied as a single treatment.

Single treatment (spot-on pipette)
Veterinary-strength, triple-action formula
Kills fleas, ticks and lice on contact
Stops flea eggs and larvae developing
For cats over 1kg

On the weight limit. 1kg is the minimum weight Johnson's give for this product, which effectively rules out very young kittens — check your kitten's actual weight rather than guessing by age, and use a kitten-specific product if they haven't reached it yet.

Who it's for: owners of a cat over 1kg wanting triple-action protection against fleas, ticks and lice in one application, particularly cats that go outdoors and are exposed to more than fleas alone.

Why we chose it

Covering ticks and lice alongside fleas in one pipette is worth more than a flea-only product for a cat that actually goes outside. The 1kg weight threshold is also clearly stated, which matters for anyone weighing up whether a kitten is ready for it yet.
