Specifications

Brand: Johnson's

Full description

Tear staining shows up hardest on pale or light-coloured fur, which is partly why it bothers some owners more than others — the underlying tear production might be identical between two dogs, but only one of them wears the evidence on their face.

Johnson's describe this as a unique tear stain remover and facial cleanser, safely cleaning beneath and around the eyes and helping to prevent tear stains forming. It's for dogs, cats and small animals, and comes as a 125ml bottle.

What it won't fix. Tear staining often has a cause behind it — tear duct shape, allergies, or simply a breed prone to it — and this cleans up the visible staining rather than addressing why it's happening. Persistent or worsening staining, especially with redness or discharge, is worth a vet check.

Who it's for: owners of a light-coated dog or cat with visible tear staining who want to manage the appearance of it around the eyes.

Johnson's Diamond Eyes

Why we chose it

It's built specifically for the delicate area around the eyes rather than a general-purpose wipe repurposed for the job. It also covers small animals, which most tear-stain products aimed purely at dogs don't bother to mention.
