Cats groom themselves obsessively, which is exactly why where a flea treatment goes on matters — a spot-on has to sit somewhere a cat can't easily lick straight back off, which is why it goes at the base of the neck rather than anywhere else.

FRONTLINE Spot On for cats is fipronil-based, applied by snapping open the sealed pipette and parting the fur at the base of the neck so the liquid reaches the skin. Frontline's own figures are that it kills fleas within 24 hours and ticks within 48, and it's also effective against lice. This pack holds three pipettes for three months' worth of monthly treatment; Frontline also sell it as a single pipette or a six-pack.
