How to measure

Measure the chest at its widest point, just behind the front legs.
Measure the back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.

Full description

Cats are far less keen on clothing than dogs, and any honest description of a cat coat has to start by saying so. The ones this genuinely suits are the specific cases: hairless and rex breeds, elderly cats who have stopped holding their body temperature well, and indoor cats in cold houses. For those, a light padded layer makes a real difference to how much of the day is spent hunched.

The shell is quilted and padded but deliberately light, 250g to 300g depending on size, because weight is what makes a cat lie down and refuse to move at all. The fastening is quick to work, which matters more with a cat than with a dog, since your window of cooperation is short. The hood has ears on it, entirely for your benefit, and folds back when your cat has had enough.
