Armitage Litter Tray

A litter tray only has one job, and most of the ways they fail are edge problems: too shallow to hold litter when a cat scratches, or a lip so high that an older cat starts avoiding it. This one keeps things plain rather than clever, which for a tray is usually the right call.

It is a standard plastic tray with a flat edge rather than a moulded rim, measuring 40cm by 30cm with 9cm of depth. Being dishwasher-proof means the whole thing can go through a hot cycle between litter changes rather than being hand-scrubbed, which matters more than it sounds for a job most owners already put off.

On the flat edge. A flat-edged tray has no lip to catch scattered litter on the way out, so expect more of it on the floor around the tray than you would from a covered or high-sided design. The makers do not supply a weight for it, so we cannot say how it handles on a slippery floor without a mat underneath.
