A pouch that names one meat on the front and lists half a dozen ingredients on the back is telling you which one it wants you to notice, not necessarily which one there's most of.

This is an adult cat food in gravy: meat and animal derivatives at 15%, of which beef makes up 4%, alongside vegetable protein extracts, fish and fish derivatives, minerals and various sugars, cut into mini fillets. Gourmet's own figures are moisture 80%, protein 13%, fat content 2.5%, crude ash 2.5% and crude fibre 0.05%, and the feeding guide is 3 to 4 pouches a day for an average 4kg cat, across at least 2 to 3 meals.

On the name. "Beef in Gravy" names beef specifically, but it's 4% of a 15% meat and animal derivatives total — most of that 15% is unnamed. Fish and fish derivatives are also in the ingredient list, despite beef being the only meat named on the front.

Who it's for: owners of adult cats who like the mini-fillet format and gravy, and aren't relying on the pack name to tell them exactly how much beef is inside.
