Full description

The same question comes up whichever size bag you buy of this recipe: does "Beef, Chicken & Veg" mean the food is mostly beef and chicken? FELIX's own ingredient panel says no, and it says so identically at this smaller size.

This 600g bag carries the same composition as the larger bag of this recipe — cereals listed ahead of "meat and animal derivatives", within which FELIX state 3% chicken and 1% beef, 4% named meat combined. It is a complete dry food for adult cats, priced and packaged as a smaller, price-marked bag.

600g bag
Cereals are the largest listed ingredient, ahead of meat
Named meat: 3% chicken, 1% beef (4% combined)
Complete dry food for adult cats
Protein 30%, fat content 11%, crude ash 8%, crude fibre 3%

On the naming. As with the larger bag of this recipe, "Beef, Chicken & Veg" names the flavour rather than the bulk of the ingredients — cereals come first on the panel, and the two named meats total 4%. Buying the smaller bag does not change what is in it.

Who it's for: an owner who wants to try this flavour in a smaller quantity first, or a single-cat household that does not need the larger bag size.

Why we chose it

The smaller bag is a sensible way to try a flavour before committing to the bigger size, and it is worth knowing going in that "Beef, Chicken & Veg" is a flavour name here rather than a high-meat claim — cereals lead the ingredient list at both sizes. We think that is worth saying plainly rather than leaving the bag's front to speak for itself.
