Why lift your dog off the floor

Common questions
Are raised beds good for dogs with arthritis?
They can be, because getting on and off a slightly elevated surface avoids lowering all the way to the floor, and the firm taut deck is easy to rise from. For very stiff or large seniors, pair it with a thin orthopaedic topper for joint cushioning.
Will my dog be too cold on a mesh bed in winter?
The airflow that cools in summer can feel chilly in an unheated room, so add a fleece blanket or a thin pad over the mesh during cold months. Indoors with normal heating, most dogs are perfectly comfortable.
Can I leave an elevated bed outside permanently?
Choose one rated for outdoor use and you can leave it on a covered, dry spot, but it will last far longer if you bring it in during heavy rain, frost or strong sun. Standing water and UV are what degrade frames and fabric over time.
