Floor space is the thing most flats do not have, and a cat's preferred territory is above your head anyway. Mounting the climbing on the wall puts the platform where the cat already wants to be and leaves the carpet clear underneath it. Nothing to hoover around, no tower base to trip over, and no wobble when a heavy cat lands hard on the top step.

Everything in the range is pine, finished plainly so it disappears against a painted wall, and it is sold as separate parts rather than as one assembled unit: a scratching post, a cat house, and two lengths of wall-mounted scratching rope at 1.3m and 1.5m. The ropes do the work that matters. A long run of rope fixed up a wall lets a cat scratch at full body stretch, reaching up as far as they can go, which is the posture a floor pad never allows.

Read the options before you order. The manufacturer's title calls this a complete set and it is not one. Each option is a single component, so one order buys the post, or the house, or one rope, rather than the arrangement shown in the photographs. Tell us the layout you have in mind and we will price the pieces for you. And because these hang on a wall, they need fixing into masonry or a timber stud; plasterboard plugs on their own will not hold a cat arriving from height.
